It’s a Smooth Affair

Yeah, I hear you. We all want to eat healthy but we don’t have the time, right? So what better way to make sure that get your daily dose of fresh fruit than by sipping it in a smoothie?

Smoothies are so easy to make and absolutely delicious with an endless amount of flavor combinations to try. To save time, you can even go as far as preparing all the ingredients and storing them in the fridge so that all that is left to do is to throw it in a blender and enjoy.

Let me share my favorite smoothie recipes with you.

Banana-Strawberry-Smoothie

STRAWBERRY OATMEAL SMOOTHIE

1/2 cup oats

1 Banana, cut into slices

14 Frozen strawberries, cut in half

1 cup Milk

1 1/2 teaspoon Sugar or Honey

1/2 teaspoon Vannilla extract

Place all the ingredients in a blender, blend and serve.

Cutting and freezing the strawberries and banana before the time will help with time saving.

Having this for breakfast will keep you fuller for longer as well as energized for the whole day as oats is low GI carb and is a great form of long lasting energy.

PEANUT BUTTER SMOOTHIE

1 Banana, cut into slices

1/4 cup Peanut butter

1 cup Milk

1/2 teaspoon Vannilla extract

1/2 cup Greek yogurt

1 cup Ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender, blend and serve.

CHOCOLATE RASBERRY SMOOTHIE

! cup Milk

1/2 cup Vanilla yogurt

1/4 cup Chocolate chips

1 cup Rasberries

6 – 8 Ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender, blend and serve.

For the hardcore trainers out there, feel free to replace the chocolate chips with protein powder.

TRIPLE BERRY BLEND

1/2 cup Blackberries

1/2 cup Strawberries

1/2 cup Raspberries

1 cup Milk

1 cup Ice cubes

Sugar or Honey to taste

Place all the ingredients in a blender, blend and serve.

VIETNAMESE COFFEE

1/2 cup chilled espresso or strong coffee

1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk

1 1/2 cups ice

Place all the ingredients in a blender, blend and serve.

This is ideal for coffee lovers on a hot day.
